Im not a professional oud player or when close. I have been playing for almost 1 year now and in that 1 year 10months were with this sultan oud.

My experiance was noticeable right away. It was packaged extremely well. The product was safe and arrived clean and perfect. All I did was tune it up. Immediately you can hear the sustain of tone and depth. It sounded loud and like that of the desert.

Now I've changed the strings twice and I believe the oud has settled. I have some small issues with the tuning strings getting stuck on the 4th and 5th string(on cfadgc, the F and A string). But it sounds better and better

On the advice of oud player Navid Goldrick I have the Sultan Plus because this oud offered a lot of quality for an attractive price. I was surprised by the short delivery time of the oud. The oud was exceptionally well packed and in perfect condition. It is a beautiful instrument and you can see that a lot of attention and craftsmanship has led to this result. I have no experience in playing an oud, but have been playing classical guitar since the 60s. I know that my age, 83 years, is such that I can never master the subtleties of Arabic music. The videos of Navid Goldrick and Jawa Manla on the internet offer me a lot of inspiration to often pick up the oud.

I could not be any happier with my Sultan Plus oud. I received it in less than three weeks and it arrived in perfect condition – all I had to do was tune it up. It looks fabulous and plays wonderfully. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend Sultan Instruments.

I bought my oud in November 2022. It arrived beautifully boxed, totally intact and on time (international shipping). I have been playing it everyday for a year and have not had to change the strings yet. It stays in tune very well through a range of humidity. It sounds spectacular and I am very glad I purchased the Sultan plus oud.
